Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, who can be identified based on such data (alone or together with other information). This includes, in particular, your name, address, phone number, email address, and the personal data contained in your CV, cover letter, and other written materials (e.g., accompanying letter), such as contact details, education, work history, personal preferences, and personal data included in references.

For what purpose does Hari Kebab process my personal data? (purpose of data processing)
Your personal data are processed for the evaluation of your job application, conducting the selection process, organizing job interviews, maintaining records related to recruitment processes, storing data in the database (if you have consented, see below), and communication related to your application, as well as contacting you regarding vacancies and sending job offers.
During the selection process (including interviews), notes may be taken (fact of the interview and other information recorded during interviews).
To ensure data minimization, please provide only personal data that are essential for establishing employment and filling the position applied for. Please avoid providing sensitive data (e.g., political views, religious beliefs, ethnicity, etc.). Hari Kebab does not process such data, will delete them, and assumes no responsibility for their unnecessary submission.
Why may Hari Kebab process my personal data? (legal basis of data processing)
According to Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR), the legal basis for data processing is your consent.
You may withdraw your consent at any time during the processing period by sending a request to hr@harikebab.hu. In such cases, your data will be deleted; however, withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
What happens if I do not provide my data? (consequences of not providing data)
Providing your personal data is voluntary; however, without it, Hari Kebab cannot evaluate your application.
By ticking the checkbox on the website and submitting your CV/application, you accept the data processing conditions and consent to the processing of your personal data by Hari Kebab.
How long does Hari Kebab store my personal data? (data retention period)
Your CV and the data provided in your application are not stored indefinitely.
- If you apply for a currently open position, your personal data will be stored until your application is evaluated, but no longer than 2 weeks, and will be deleted in case of rejection.
- If you are successfully selected and enter into employment with Hari Kebab, employee data processing rules will apply, about which you will receive separate information.
If you apply for a position that is not currently open, or if you were not selected but consented to further storage, your application and CV will be stored in our internal database for up to 1 year, after which they will be deleted. The purpose of long-term storage is to contact you if a suitable position becomes available.
If you withdraw your consent after submitting your application, your materials and personal data will be deleted.
Who may access my personal data? (access, data transfer, recipients)
Your personal data may be accessed and processed by Hari Kebab’s management and authorized employees responsible for HR matters.

- Google Ireland Limited (registered office: Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) – data storage and video conferencing (Google Meet)
Hari Kebab may be legally required to transfer your personal data to authorities (e.g., law enforcement, police, courts) if requested or justified during inspections. No data are transferred to third countries or international organizations.
What rights do I have regarding my personal data? (rights and remedies)
Rights:
During the processing period, you may exercise your right of access, request information about the processing of your personal data, request correction, deletion, or restriction of processing, and object to processing. We will respond within 1 month.
Your rights include:
- Right to information: to receive clear, transparent, and accessible information about data processing
- Right of access: to confirm whether your data are being processed and access related information
- Right to rectification: to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Right to erasure: to request deletion of your data without undue delay
- Right to restriction of processing: under certain conditions
- Right to object: if you believe your data are being processed improperly

If your request is unsuccessful, you may file a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH):

You may also take legal action before a court, which will proceed in the case with priority. You may choose the competent court based on your residence, place of stay, or the seat of NAIH (Metropolitan Court of Budapest).
